I work with both individuals and couples on a Face to Face basis. However, I am currently only providing this service via Zoom, FaceTime, Skype. I also provide telephone counselling and online counselling via Email and Instant Messaging (IMS).
I have several years experience in both short and long term counselling in many areas which include:
Couple therapy, Depression, Anxiety & Stress, Grief & loss, Sexuality, Sexual abuse, Sexual addiction, Trauma, Childhood issues, Self-esteem, Work issues, Jealousy, Anger management, Domestic abuse, Addictions, Bereavement, Childhood abuse, Family problems.
To ensure your confidentiality with respect to any information I keep about you, e.g. notes of our sessions and contact details, I adhere to the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA), which was updated on 25th May 2018, under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulations. (GDPR). I am GDPR compliant and adhere to its recommendation for storing sensitive data. I keep no online data about my clients.
With regards to your counselling sessions, the content will not be communicated with a third party except for the purpose of supervision of my work. In this instance, your identity will not be revealed, and the presenting issues are discussed in a general context, this is to help ensure I am working safely and ethically with my clients. I do recommend that online clients use an encrypted email server for sending and receiving emails when engaging with counselling, this helps to ensure our communication will not be intercepted by a third party.
