José Nicolás Rosas

Hello and welcome to my website! 

I am a Research Economist in the Global Economy Division of the Banco de España.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in 2025, under the supervision of Jordi Galí and Davide Debortoli. 

My research interests are in macroeconomics and time series econometrics, with a focus on monetary policy, energy, and climate change.

Before the Ph.D., I worked at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington, D.C., and as a graduate research assistant at the Centro de Estudios sobre Desarrollo Económico (CEDE) at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
