Leaders' Meeting: January 2026, Athens

The meeting was part of our KA2 Junior Model United Nations Erasmus+ project Co Funded by the EU and our school hosted our partners from Ireland, Turkey and Roumania.

During their visit, our partners learned about the Greek educational system and discovered many innovative teaching methods in rhetorics used in the classroom. 

On the first day of the visit, DES school has prepared a warm welcome ceremony for our visitors followed by a tour in the school campus.  They participated in the environmental-themed rhetoric games that our students have prepared and experienced a full day of activities at the school, having the chance to meet amazing students.

Our visitors also had the opportunity to explore the rich history of Athens — visiting the Acropolis, the Parthenon, and walking through streets of Plaka.

The main goal of the Leaders meeting in Athens was to revise the program challenges and celebrate the successes of our actions so far. We also planned our next dissemination activities for the project.

The final meeting of the participants was successful, and the overall experience was enriched with educational and cultural activities.

It was an intense two days full of inspiring discussions, new ideas, and motivation for the future! 

We feel even more connected as a team and excited for the next steps of JMUN!
