VISION

To promote awareness of different facets of life in Jamaica and the progress made by the country in various fields e.g. sport, economic, industrial, education, science & technology, communication & information Technology, culture; to provide a unique forum for members of Jamaican origin or heritage to visit Jamaica; share and discuss common issues and their views, expectations, experiences, aspirations and solution for the advancement of the members’ interests, and that of our communities; and to develop closer bonds with the contemporary Jamaica; promoting innovation, good practice, and sustainability, thereby increasing the overall global competitiveness of Jamaica and its diaspora.

MISSION/PURPOSE

JMED, a contemporary Jamaican Diaspora in the Middle East, celebrates Jamaican culture, ignites challenging and progressive conversations, and inspires learning and development through the Middle East lens of the Jamaican Diaspora, matching it with the untapped natural resources of Jamaica towards an achievable improved social welfare; accelerated sustainable development; intensive economic growth and increased wealth while taking into consideration the interests of Jamaica, its communities and those institutions supporting them.
