FAQs

Do you sell?

Yes, items listed in the "Available" section of the gallery are available for purchase. If anything catches your fancy, email me :)

Think of this site as a virtual art gallery. Sometimes, I'll be in an I-want-to-make-something mood. I make something. I put it on display. If you like it, hello new owner! This helps keep prices more affordable because the items were made out of desire rather than obligation. It's like an I-wanted-to-make-something discount.

Follow me on Instagram @jkuodesigns to get the latest updates. I usually update my Instagram page first and then those updates trickle to this website.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: All sales are final. Full payment is required at the time of purchase.

If I like something you previously made in the gallery, can I ask you to make me one?

Unfortunately, I am unable to take made-to-order requests at this time. Please visit the gallery to see the latest available pieces. I usually have something new brewing on the workbench. Follow me on Instagram to get the latest updates.

Do you accept custom orders?

No, unfortunately, I am unable to manage the resources and costs required to develop a custom design at this time.

Do you have an Etsy site?

No. As of now, there are no plans to turn this hobby a business. It's meant to be casual and most importantly, fun. This site allows me to showcase my "art" to whomever is interested. Selling is not the focus.

How much time does it take you to make [insert item here]?

It always feels like forever. I have audited build times on a few designs. The card wallets take 1.5-2 hours. The Business Traveler takes 60 hours, with potential to reduce to 45-50 hours. I am currently auditing the time it takes to make the YLC Clutch No. 2's. My guess is around 10 hours from beginning to end. See the Materials & Process page for more information on the old-school handcrafting methods. I don't own any leather machinery and don't use anything that needs to be plugged into the wall (except a soldering iron to melt the thread ends), so everything from cutting, to stitching, to hardware setting, to edge finishing is completely done by hand.
