About

Hello! My name is Jenny and I currently live in Chandler, AZ. I have loved making things since my earliest memories; from Play-Doh, Legos, origami, and calligraphy decades ago to knitting, leather crafting and textiles today.

My love of leather work started with a briefcase my brother gave me as a graduation gift in 2011. After researching for more information about the briefcase, I found myself down the internet rabbit hole coveting beautiful handmade leather goods, and somehow I decided to try making my own. One Tandy Leather Factory visit later, I came home with a basic hand stitching kit and a small roll of economy belly. I was hooked. After much trial-and-error, I made a wallet in June 2012 that is still part of my everyday carry today (see Gallery).

My bouts of making things ebbed and flowed where my leather tools ended up untouched for years. In fall of 2017, after starting a new job, I searched for a leather briefcase for business travel but couldn't find one on the market that suited my needs. Once again, I decided to try making one instead. This would be the largest and most complex leather project I had attempted at the time. I dug out my tools and I found myself at my local Tandy Leather Factory again. This time I drove home with a roll of premium vegetable tanned leather and a bag of high quality hardware. After a month of nights and weekends, I completed my first briefcase. I made a second briefcase shortly after as a Christmas gift for the person who started the whole thing in the first place, my brother. A new spark was lit for making things again!

I used to entertain the idea of turning this hobby into a business, but after a short period of taking made-to-order requests from friends and family, I quickly realized that the craft turned into an obligation that came with more stress than enjoyment, so I have since ditched the business idea. This is a hobby that's meant to be casual, fun, and enjoyable. Think of this site as an art gallery - I get inspired, I make something, I display it. Anything displayed in the "Available" section of the gallery is available for purchase. Please see the FAQ sections for more information. Thank you so much for visiting!
