Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray you are enjoying your summer. This is a reminder that Jesus Is The Way Christian Academy will open for the 2022-23 school year on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 8:30 PM for students. Teachers and Staff will report on Monday, August 29th for teacher in-service, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Parents may stop by from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM to address any concerns. On the first day of school students are to report to the academy dressed in their uniforms and with their lunch, ready for a full day of learning. The academy will be closed Monday, September 5, 2022 for Labor Day. Students will return to school on Tuesday, September 6th @ 8:30 AM.

Hello parents of Jesus Is The Way Christian Academy. The principal, faculty and staff pray that the students had a wonderful Easter break. The academy will reopen on Tuesday, April 19th, at our regular time. Students must be dressed in their uniforms and ready to resume gaining knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

It’s that time again for Jesus Is The Way Christian Academy’s Annual Fundraiser. This year we are doing a different kind of fundraiser. It’s a Keto Fundraiser. It is a twelve-week workshop to be held Thursdays @ 7 PM beginning Thursday, December 16th on Zoom. You will learn how to eat Keto Healthy for a weekly donation to the academy of at least $5 or a one-time donation of at least $60 to the academy cash app: $jitwca. Write your email on the info line when you donate. You will receive the link for the Zoom workshop by email. Donate to Jesus Is The Way Christian Academy even if you do not plan to participate in the workshops. The academy needs your support.

During the Keto workshop you will learn how to eat Keto healthy to bring down your A1C and/or lose weight, and/or just get as healthy as possible. Keto is a different way of eating which is sustainable for life. I was diagnosed as prediabetic. In 2021 I had lab work done and found out my A1C had risen to 8.8. My doctor challenged me to eat low-carb and no sugar. Being a former science teacher, I began researching different low-carb diets and came across Keto. After additional research I began eating Keto healthy. When I went for my follow-up with my doctor my A1C had dropped to 6.2 and I had lost weight! Both my doctor, and I were excited!

As a result, I want to continue to lower my A1C and drop to180 pounds. As the principal of the academy, I thought what better way to raise money for Jesus Is The Way Christian Academy and work together with others to eat healthy than to begin a twelve-week Keto Fundraiser. It does not matter if you are male or female; carrying more weight than you should; or maybe you are at your ideal weight and want to eat healthy; it doesn’t matter if you are new to Keto or did Keto before; or just want to learn about keto, you can participate. I look forward to getting healthy with you!

HELP WANTED - MUSIC TEACHER

Jesus Is The Way Christian Academy needs a part-time Music teacher who is a Christian as defined in Romans 10:8-10, to teach Music Theory, instrumentals, and vocals to students in Pre-K to 8th grades, as well as facilitate our annual Easter and Christmas pageants, and facilitate school assembles. Has experience using a computer. Can pass a criminal background check, child abuse background check, and has a COVID vaccination card to show proof of vaccination. Able to attend a paid two-day staff development at the end of August and start the actual job the week of September 1, 2021. A perfect job for a retired music teacher who wants to work part-time one or two days a week, from 8:00 - 12:00 AM. For additional information call 267.970.9779. Dear Parents and Staff,

It has been a pleasure educating your children throughout the 2019-20 school year, both in person and online. Today is the last day of school. It was a blessed day! I know you where blessed by viewing the Graduation and Move-Up Day Celebration on Zoom! The students made us proud because of what you, the parents and guardians have been breathing into them. Thank you!

I will miss Calvin Starks-Walden who graduated from 8th grade and will be attend High School next year. He truly is a young man with a future of excellence as long as he kepts God at the center of his life. Our youngest graduate, Avery, who graduated from Kindergarten looked beautiful in her cap and gown. She even made the Honor Roll along with Calvin and others.

Our Keynote Speaker, Professor Sandra Sharp was awesome and shared in a way anyone no matter their age could understand. You go Professor Sharp!

To the best teachers in the word, kudos! Jesus Is The Way Christian Academy is what it is today, only because of all the effort you put in with the help of the Lord! I thank you for going the extra mile! I am glad to be the principal of Jesus Is The Way Christian Academy! The best Pre-K through 8th Grade Academy in the Germantown-Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia.

Have a wonderful summer and spread the word about Jesus Is The Way Christian Academy. We have available seats in every grade! I am not saying goodbye, but stay safe and be blessed in the arms of GOD!
