Principal Investigator
Dr. Jinzhu Yu is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering (Primary) and Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering (Secondary) at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Before joining UTA, he was a Postdoc Scholar in the Department of Computer Science and Network Science and Technology Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He got his Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies of Systems Engineering at Vanderbilt University. His research seeks to enable resilient, sustainable, and smart urban systems in uncertain and dynamic settings by developing and applying models and algorithms in network science, operations research, and data science. His research interests include the resilience and risk analysis of infrastructure systems, disaster management, transportation and supply network modeling and analysis, stochastic modeling and optimization, as well as urban mobility.

Sheetal Pandhare
Graduate Research Assistant
Sheetal is currently pursuing a MS in Transportation Engineering. She is passionate about transportation planning, demand forecasting, traffic flow modeling, and simulation analysis, to contribute to more efficient, sustainable, and equitable urban mobility. Alongside her academic pursuits, Sheetal finds joy in photography, music, historical research, and culinary exploration.
Sohaib Dastgoshade
Graduate Research Intern
Sohaib earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Kurdistan and pursued his Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in optimization at Yazd University in Iran. His research focuses on the intersection of operations research, transportation systems, supply chain networks, as well as resilience and equity. He enjoys watching movies and gaming in his free time.
Yash Modi
Graduate Research Assistant
Yash is currently pursuing a MS in CS at UTA. His research interests revolve around deep learning technologies, including transformers, generative networks, convolutional neural networks, graph neural networks, and their applications in computer vision and network analysis, etc. His hobbies include music, tech reading, and gaming.
Ram Prasad Reddy Gajjala
Graduate Research Assistant
Ram is currently pursuing a MS in CS at UTA. His research interests revolve around Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Mobile Application Development. His expertise lies within Mobile Applications and the main languages in his tech stack are Java, Kotlin, Flutter Dart and swift.

Hari Lalichetti
Graduate Research Assistant (2023)
Hari is currently pursuing a MS in Electrical Engineering at UTA. His academic pursuits are centered around networked control systems and embedded control systems. His current project is focusing on the optimal distributed control of interconnected networks. He also has research experience in the realm of Embedded and IoT design, specifically in sensors and edge computer integration via communication protocols.
