EC420 is the required econometrics course for all B.S. Economics students. It introduces the fundamental statistical tools and regression techniques used in empirical economic analysis, providing students with both theoretical grounding and practical data applications.
EC 820A and EC 820B are the core first-year Ph.D. econometrics courses required of all Economics doctoral students. EC 820A covers probability and statistical theory, while EC 820B focuses on multivariate regression models and their extensions. Together, they prepare students for the econometrics qualifying exam and advanced empirical research.
As the TA, I taught weekly recitations that complemented the main lectures. In these sessions, I guided students through problem sets, clarified key concepts, and provided additional practice with econometric theory and applications.
