Jingyuan Zhuang

I am graduating with Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from The Pennsylvania State University in May 2024. I received my M.S. in Linguistics (Concentration: Applied Linguistics) from Georgetown University.

My research activity is centered on three areas within applied linguistics: instructed second language acquisition; study abroad; and research methodology, in particular, mixed methods research and meta-analysis.

My dissertation examines the effectiveness of online concept-based language instruction on the second language development of English modality in a study abroad context, using a mixed methods design with principled integration of qualitative and quantitative strands.
