I am currently a Research Associate at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I am also an UM Talent Program Ph.D. candidate at the University of Macau (expect to graduate in 2024). I received my M.S. in Human Resources and Organizations at London School of Economics and Political Science, and B.S. in Trade Economics at Renmin University of China.
Using interdisciplinary insights and diverse methodologies, my research centers around the organizational reproduction of societal issues such as precarity, stigma, and discrimination. My goal is to advance our understanding of how organizational contexts perpetuate and disrupt pressing societal challenges, so we can better design effective interventions to address them and realize a sustainable society.
To join the ongoing societal debates, my first line of research conceptually redefines the nature and future of work as decent work and quality employment with inclusion, ethics, and sustainability accorded a primary consideration. My second line of research abductively uncovers the heterogeneous destigmatizing processes of stigmatized workers where their work motivations are the roots of this heterogeneity. My third line of research prioritizes the voices and perspectives of underprivileged groups to ascertain their anticipated ally behaviors and the effectiveness of such allyship in combating prejudice and discrimination.
I will be seeking an Assistant Professor position starting from Fall 2024 onwards.
