Blue House Books Poetry Reading

What: The Kenosha/Racine Poets Laureate Program presents a summer poetry reading celebrating Lake Michigan and the release of the 2024 Kenosha Poet Laureate Project's chapbook, "The Lake Is Mother to Us All". Poets featured in the book will be reading their poems about Lake Michigan as experienced from its western shores. Join us at Blue House Books in Kenosha for poetry, snacks, fun and summer vibes.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., readings start at 7 p.m. This event is free!

When: Wednesday, July 10th 7:00 pm CDT.

Kelsay Books Poetry Reading

What: Join Jim as he reads from his new poetry collection, Tea in the Pacific Northwest. The event will be held virtually on Zoom where Jim will be sharing the virtual stage with fellow Kelsay poets Sarah Russel, Rose Mary Boehm, and Lynne Burnett, all reading for 10 minutes, and an

extra ten guest readers, reading for 2 minutes each. 

When: Saturday, July 20th 3:00 pm CDT.

*Note: A portion of all Tea in the Pacific Northwest book sales will go to the Friedens Food Pantry of Milwaukee, a network of food centers building community through nourishment.

Martha Merrell's Barb Geiger Book Launch Event

What: Join Jim as he and other inspirational poets help Barb Geiger celebrate her book of poems, Mississippi Meanderings. These friends and colleagues of Barb will all have their books on hand for sale and signing.

When: Thursday, September 5th, 6:00 - 7:30 pm.

Where: Martha Merrell's bookstore, 231 W Main St, Waukesha, WI 53186
