October 2023 - New PhD student joining
We welcome Alberto González Delgado, who will perform his PhD in bioinformatics of circadian rhythms in tomato. He holds a FPI grant from the Spanish ministry and is funded by a collaborative project between CBGP and CEPLAS (Germany).
January 2023 - We are two!!!
We welcome Félix J. Martínez Rivas in the lab. He is a postdoctoral researcher financed with a Margarita Salas grant from the University of Cordoba and is interested in plant genetics and molecular biology.
April 2022 - Paper on tomato circadian rhythms published
We use RNA-seq to study the interaction between the mutations that changed tomato's circadian rhythms during domestication and its photoperiod perception. Read it [here]
January 2022 - We moved to CBGP Madrid!!!
Our group has moved from IJPB to CBGP in Madrid where we continue working in genetics and genomics of Arabidopsis and Tomato.
February 2019 - Paper on FRI natural variation published

June 2019 - Lab's first preprint uploaded

Big welcome to Thomas Sapir, who enters the team as an Assistant Ingenieur. He will be working hard to map QTLs for tomato flowering time.
December 2018 - Level up!
The group leader, José M Jiménez-Gómez has been promoted to DR2, as a recognition from INRA to his maturity in research and research management.
Octobre 2018 - ANR PRCI grant succeeded.
This is a collaborative project with Dr. Schneeberger at MPIPZ. We will have funds to host a bioinformatician that will be looking at tomato evolution.
June 2018 - Commentary published about our article
Thanks to Santiago Mora-García and Marcelo J. Yanovsky for writing about our latest paper in a "Commentary " article in PNAS: "A large deletion within the clock gene LNK2 contributed to the spread of tomato cultivation from Central America to Europe".
May 2018 - Our new paper on circadian rhythms in tomato
"Mutations in EID1 and LNK2 caused light-conditional clock deceleration during tomato domestication" was published in PNAS. Read it in PNAS.
Sept 2017 - ANR grant awarded!
In collaboration with the lab of Vincent Colot at ENS! We will be working together on deciphering the role of transposable elements in tomato evolution.
May 2017 - New postdoc in the lab
Welcome to Dorothee Wozny!!!. She is our new ANR postdoc, that just finished her PhD Thesis in the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research working on QTL for seed longevity in Barley.
