Creative Writing

Writing has always been my passion starting from when I was very young, obsessing over books like Percy Jackson and films like The Lion, Witch, and The Wardrobe. I used to watch the DVD bonus features after watching every movie because I was so fascinated with the creative process of storytelling through visual media. As I matured, my reading interests grew into Jeff Vandermeer's Southern Reach Series, and Frank Herbert's Dune. I became obsessed with world building and the intricacies, details, and hard work that went behind creating a world that feels real and lived in. 

As a writer, I am interested in showcasing character voices through funny, charming, and often dislikable traits. I have always been attracted to characters that you almost hate to love. As someone who enjoys taking on jobs that allow me to interact with people of different backgrounds and circumstances, writing is a way for me to continue to think beyond my own personal experiences and grow to understand complex characters.
