2021/2022 NYSCH4

The mobile lab measured methane in western NY state and the NYC urban area with three deployments during July 2021, Nov. 2021, and June 2021. These focused on emissions from urban cities (Buffalo, Rochester, NYC), nearby large landfills (Freshkills Landfill in NYC, Seneca/Ontario/High Acres/Modern Landfills in the western NY state), and wastewater treatment plants (Bird Island WTP in Buffalo, Wards Island WTP in NYC, Cedar Creek WTP on Long Island). As the whole project was just finished in 2022 summer, only the CH4 emissions from the Seneca Landfills have been publicly reported (Catena et al., 2022), with other data still under analysis (will update later).
