Welcome to UAlbany ASRC

Zhang Research group

The major research of ASRC Zhang research group involves the study of chemical and physical processes impacting the fate of anthropogenic and biogenic emissions and their effects on air quality, the climate system, and global cycles of atmospheric species. We specializes in measurements of atmospheric trace gases and aerosols; especially those involved in tropospheric ozone production and airborne particulate matter. Another major area of research is aimed at developing instrumentation for the measurement of chemical composition of the atmosphere, primarily the more reactive species.

Interested in joining our group?

We are seeking recruiting 1-2 new graduate students to join our ASRC group to focus on the field measurements and data analysis for the atmospheric chemistry studies (i.e., urban air pollution, secondary organic aerosol evolution, new particle formation, etc.), mainly based on the UAlbany ASRC mobile lab measurements.

Interested students could contact Dr. Zhang (jzhang35@albany.edu) for more information.
