Teaching

In applied mechanics one is often confronted with a multi-physics or coupled problem: A problem that requires the (simultaneous) solution of more than one type of physical process or phenomenon in order to accurately describe the problem. In this course the student will learn to recognize different types of multi-physics coupling and methods for their efficient numerical solution using COMSOL.

This course focuses on learning to understand and solve problems in the field of experimental dynamics. Motto: In theory, theory and practice are the same... In practice they are not. This course concentrates on pointing where those differences originate from. It'll be valuable for any who performs and analyses measurements in practice and tries to match his / her simulation to the experiment.
