September 6, A series of articles have been published in The Korea Economic Daily, highlighting engineering education at TU Delft. The articles feature interviews with Prof. Just Herder, Prof. Kofi Makinwa, and Prof. Ena Voûte. Korean professors at TU Delft, including Jieun, also contributed to the interviews. September 1, Professor Junsuk Rho from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) visited us and gave a fascinating seminar titled "Optical metasurfaces for imaging, sensing and display".
March 24, Associate Professor Joo Hwan Oh from Seoul National University visited us and delievered a very interesting seminar titled "Flexural metamaterials for Tailoring Low Frequency Vibration".
March 21, Xueying's work on the optimization of sound absorbers based on triply periodic minimal surface is published in Materials & Design! (Link)

February 24, Jieun organized a one-day symposium, "Advances in Acoustic/Elastic Metamaterials & Mechanism Design," at TU Delft. The event featured an inspiring keynote address by Professor Yoon Young Kim, along with presentations from twelve distinguished speakers and engaging poster and demo sessions. With an audience of approximately 50 participants, the symposium fostered insightful discussions and knowledge exchange in the field. See the symposium program.

January 15, Ten talented Korean high school students, winners of Hanwha Science Challenge, visited TU Delft. Jieun welcomed them and provided an introduction to the university and its Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

December 3, Jieun gave a webinar organized by the UK Acoustics Network (UKAN+) with the title "Engineering porous materials for broadband sound absorption: from metaporous layers to 3D-printed lattice structures".
July 24, Professor Jinkyu Yang from Seoul National University visited us and delivered a fascinating seminar titled "Origami as a Design Principle in Advanced Engineering Structures".
July 1, Jieun presented a pitch at the TU Delft Early Career Researchers Day, organized by the Delft Young Academy.
February 29, Jieun gave a talk at Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials (KIMM); Invited by Dr. Pyung-Sik Ma.
February 26, Jieun gave a talk at Ewha Womans University, Department of Physics; Invited by Professor SangWook Lee.
February 22, Jieun gave a talk at Seoul National University, Department of Mechanical Engineering; Invited by Professor Yoon Young Kim.
January 1, Xueying joined as a PhD student!

December 12, Jieun attended the State Banquet on the occasion of the visit of the South Korean president and the first lady to the Netherlands.
July 1, Jieun joined the Department of Precision and Microsystems Engineering at TU Delft as an Assistant Professor.
