This Summer School is organized by the Journal of International Economics, the flagship journal in the area of International Economics. Furthermore, the Summer School will feature a series of lectures by leading faculty in this area, in a world-class research department for Economics.
Simply click on the 'Applications' tab and fill in the form provided. Applications should include a CV, cover letter, and provide the contact information of a reference writer from a Professor at your institution.
International travel to the UK is best done via Heathrow airport and Gatwick airport. The Airline coach will transfer you from these airports to Oxford. Other coach transfers are available from Luton and Stansted airports. Please see the 'Travel' tab for further information.
The fee of $150 covers the following: (i) coffee breaks, (ii) lunches, and (iii) the cost of lecture notes or other any material distributed to the participants. It does not cover any lodging or travel expenses. The fee will be charge in GDP through the Oxford University Stores system.
A small number of places have been reserved for students with bursaries or financial aid. These places are only for students who otherwise would not afford to attend the course (this includes the participation fee of $150 or the subsequent accommodation costs). If you would like to attend the summer school but believe you may not be able to due to financial reasons, please explain as such in your application cover letter, or email jiesummerschool@economics.ox.ac.uk .
There are many colleges and small hotels in Oxford offering accommodation for £80-100 per night. Please see further information in the 'Accommodation' tab. If you are granted a fee waiver, we may provide accommodation for you as per the conditions of the bursary.
