Who: Singers from Justice in Action (JIA) faith communities. As of April 25, we have 80 participants signed up nineteen organizations.
What: A first-ever JIA interfaith choir
When: Thursday, April 30, 2026 @ 5:30pm. Detailed schedule is available here.
Where: St. Mark's UMC, 8550 Pioneers Blvd
Why: To kick off the Nehemiah Assembly
Optional Dress Code: Bright! Bonus points for wearing a Justice in Action or faith community shirt.
How: Singers will work on their own with rehearsal recordings. On April 30, participants will gather at 5:30pm to run through the pieces. At 6:30pm, the JIA Choir will perform at the start of the Assembly and everyone in the room will be amazed at the final result!
Rehearsal Materials: Scores and tracks will be shared with those who submit the form or leave contact information with Julie Enersen at music@unitarianlincoln.org, 402-483-2213. We will purchase hard copies of the music for everyone who has let us know they are planning to attend...no need for you to print up anything.

Jaime O'Neill
Conductor
Jaime is the Music Director for Christ UMC. Jaime graduated South Dakota State University with a music education degree and is currently working on a Master of Music degree in choral conducting at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and hopes to work in the conducting field full-time upon graduation.
Julie Enersen
Organizer
Julie serves as the Music Director of the Untarian Church of Lincoln. She earned a Music Education degree from UNL and has served as the adminstrator of the Association for Unitarian Universalist Music Ministries. She is a frequent performer and props designer for theatrical productions in Lincoln and Hickman.
