Indian Graduate Student Association

IGSA is committed to the welfare of Indian students and in fostering socio-cultural and educational exchange amongst those who have an interest in exploring the Indian culture. The mission is to celebrate the radiant spirit of India and share it with the diverse student bodies at Hopkins.

The major focus of IGSA is to help new students adjust to the new campus life, and to provide them with a home away from home. In the past we have organised bus trips to places of common interests, hosted get-togethers to allow informal interactions amongst students, arranged temporary accommodation, provided support to find housing and advised about coursework, student jobs and campus life.
