IGSA is a non-profit association established with the purpose of promoting awareness of Indian culture, providing opportunities for social interactions and to showcase India as a nation. It has been put together to encourage programs of special interest to the Indian community and to promote healthy interactions between the different communities and members of Johns Hopkins University. Through the year IGSA organizes several events to celebrate major Indian festivals and to bring a small piece of India to the campus.
