The JFK School of Psychology and Social Sciences will be hosting the 3rd Annual Virtual Research Conference on April 24th, 2026. The conference will be held virtually from 10am-1pm PT (1-4pm ET) and is free to all NU students, faculty and staff who are interested in attending.
The title of the conference for 2026 is:
Contemporary Issues in the Social Sciences: Artificial Intelligence, Social Media, and Cultural Competency.
The keynote speakers for this conference include:
Dr. Sarah Dyson, who will share her research on AI, attachment, and human emotions, alongside Jila Behnar, LMFT who will discuss her findings on the use of AI in clinical practice. Dr. Joel Goodin will also share some of his ideas about attachment theory and AI. The event will conclude with Dr. Laura Blair discussing current research on social media.
