I was invited to attend the premiere of the calypso musical about Lord Kitchener's life. Imagine my surprise to realize from the information shared that he was a contemporary of Althea, not the same social circles, but they were born within three years of each other and both moved to England as part of the Windrush generation, he in 1947 and Althea in 1951. Some of Lord Kitchener's songs deal with life in England as a West Indian migrant, so they could help provide that music that straddles the two main locations of this documentary, England and Trinidad. Talk about serendipity.
