K-W-L Chart

Purpose:

The purpose of a K-W-L chart is to help students to evaluate where they are with knowledge on a certain subject. The first start with inserting what they know on a certain subject in the left hand column. They then state what they want to know in the second column.  Lastly, they put what they learned in the next column, and state how they learned or how they will learn that information. Below is an example of what the K-W-L chart will look like.
