University of California - Los Angeles, CA
Before entering college, I ran cross country and track & field throughout high school. Of those four years, I was in yearbook for two, where I began photographing various school and sports events. This is when first was given the opportunity to handle a DSLR, and due to my participation in cross country and track, I was pretty much wholly responsible for taking photos for the running spreads in the yearbook. Halfway through my second year of yearbook, I enjoyed taking photos on a DSLR so much, I invested my own!
Although my high school yearbook experience was first when I realized my passion for photography, my passion started much earlier. As an elementary and middle schooler, I used to take photos of all sorts of things on my phone (and eventually my Coolpix camera), from nature's flowers to man's towering skyscrapers.
To this day, I still very much enjoy taking photos of my church's various activities and my friend's and family's adventures on my Sony a6000! See some of my favorites here, and check out all my photos at www.flickr.com/photos/elipsees
