A couple friends and I were walking around the park a few weeks ago enjoying one of our first warm, sunny days this Spring. Since then we've dropped back down below 50 degrees F and it has been raining for over a week straight.

I spent 10 days in Florida over my Spring Break, March 7-16, and we went to so many cool places! This particular picture is from "The Tower" at Shark Valley National Park, looking down at the ramp that takes you up to the platform.

In anticipation for my trip to Naples, Florida this year (in a few days!) here is a photo at Naples Pier Beach from my trip last year! It was in the 70's most of my week last March, and it was in the 60's on this day at the beach, and it was windy so I was cold. But, the sunset was beautiful-- I can't wait to get more pictures this year!

For PotM #12, a rather special one, for the 1st anniversary, I chose 3 pictures from my very first Photoshoot in September of 2017. Anna and Madelyn are featured a few times on the site, but I went back through and edited some of their pictures again, now that I have more experience.

I took this picture in early September on Wolf Lake! It looks a lot like the July 5 sunset that I posted a few times, only this one was orange instead of purple! (You can see that famous July 5th sunset under my "Example Pictures" page!)

I took this photo while driving through the Village of Onsted a few weeks ago. I stopped just across the street, rolled down my window, and took a quick pic. The sunset that night was beautiful, and the picture does not quite do it justice.

I took this picture at the beginning of July this year, and it is exactly how it was taken-- no filter, no editing! It was such a beautiful sunset over the lake, and I thought that it would make a great PotM, especially considering that it is completely unaltered (besides the watermark).

This picture was taken at Miners Castle located in Munising, Michigan along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. A group of friends and I spent a week up there together. On this particular day we had decided to go hiking down to the beach located on the opposite side of the Castle. We ended up getting lost without Cell Reception for a while until we finally found the beach! It ended up raining on us almost the entire time we were out there, but the sun came out just before we got back up to the lookout, so I snapped one last picture of the Rock in the Sun.

I took this picture at a friend's house on Loch Erin this past week after we got back from a Pontoon ride. Sunset/sunrise pictures over the water are my absolute favorite to take, and to look at!

I was in Adrian the other day walking around downtown with my younger brother and one of his friends when we came across this alley with some graffiti on the walls. He knelt down so his friend could get a picture of him and I knelt down to get one from a different angle. I really like how the picture turned out, and it is the start of my new era of photography. I used to be completely against altering my pictures in any way, but sometimes it is the only way to get it to look as good as you know that it can.

I still do not use Photoshop or any other picture editing software along those lines, I simply use the Gallery tools on my phone or computer to alter the White Balance, Light, Contrast, Etc.

I took this picture standing underneath the Naples Pier in Naples, Florida this past March. This picture is edited so that more colors are brought to the surface, but not touching up/photo-shopping was done otherwise. The Pier itself is only open to about halfway out into the Gulf because of Hurricane Irma damage.
