Overview

I believe that universities should play an active role in enriching surrounding communities. As a scientist, I strive to connect younger students with genuine scientific experiences and with a diversity of scientists by working with schools and families around my university. To participate in science, whether or not students choose a career in scientific pursuit, is to develop critical thinking skills and gain a hands-on appreciation of how our society generates knowledge.
