Angus Redbeard was nobody until a fateful mistake made him one of the most famous dwarves in history. Now he has a year to prove himself worthy of his new title - and become a hero.

Recovered from dire injuries sustained at the defense of the Aureate Holt, Angus turns his attention to his new business; manufacturing and installing the Pickled Marble that underpins the entirety of the canal city the Veyns.  After recruiting a stout staff, he is once again pulled into a web of expanding intrigue and danger.

After returning to the Argentine Holt to report, he is sent out once again with the unlikeliest of companions.  In this second installment of the Harkentale Saga, Angus faces his most intense challenges yet.  

Follow Angus and Johan as they fight to stabilize an unsettled world, and experience extraordinary feats both mundane and magical.  

The Dreamvine pods have a chance to save Angus or Johan, but not likely both.  While Indaria keeps vigil over the healing heroes, Alene and Beatrice visit the remote Conemarra atoll where Alene was born. There we meet a mysterious people from far away, revealing the beginnings of more plots.

Meanwhile the Ivon moves aggressively to take back control of his nation, which is rapidly joining the self-sufficient Gymdeithas Fashnach movement.  Before the end, we see whether the great Bedwyn Foresight still has the strategic magic that made him famous in centuries past.

All the while, Zonka plans her revenge, and takes drastic steps to rid the world of the dwarven menace.  

Dreamvine concludes the initial trilogy of the Harkentale Saga, but merely opens the door to a much larger world with many new peoples and places.  Despite some darker themes, humor still punctuates the story.
