The Dreamvine pods have a chance to save Angus or Johan, but not likely both. While Indaria keeps vigil over the healing heroes, Alene and Beatrice visit the remote Conemarra atoll where Alene was born. There we meet a mysterious people from far away, revealing the beginnings of more plots.

Meanwhile the Ivon moves aggressively to take back control of his nation, which is rapidly joining the self-sufficient Gymdeithas Fashnach movement. Before the end, we see whether the great Bedwyn Foresight still has the strategic magic that made him famous in centuries past.

All the while, Zonka plans her revenge, and takes drastic steps to rid the world of the dwarven menace.

Dreamvine concludes the initial trilogy of the Harkentale Saga, but merely opens the door to a much larger world with many new peoples and places. Despite some darker themes, humor still punctuates the story.
