PSY 2003 - Understanding Statistics
This course is an introductory applied statistics course that focuses on two aspects of one's statistics journey:
(a) fostering one's statistical literacy (i.e., making sense of data and the statistics used to interpret them) and
(b) learning about descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Topics include, but are not limited to, research design, measurement, sampling procedures, standard normal distribution, correlation, regression, probability, sampling distributions, and hypothesis testing/error/power.
PSY 3753 - Introduction to Industrial-Organizational Psychology
This course covers psychological theories and their practical applications to the workplace. The course covers issues of critical relevance to the well-being of individuals and organizational performance. Topics include, but are not limited to, history of I-O, research methods in I-O, criteria & job analysis, predictors (psychological assessments), personnel decisions, organizational learning/development, performance management, leadership, teams & teamwork, organizational change, affect, attitudes, and behavior at work, work motivation, and workplace psychological health.
