Teaching

I am currently teaching Evolutionary Computation, Quantum Computation, and MSc Project / BSc Project (also for Maths & CS sudents) at the University of Birmingham. I am planning developing some new modules, so stay tuned.

I am occasionally teaching also at Universität zu Lübeck, mainly Theoreticcal and Computationa Neuroscience (Seminar), Artificial Life, Systems Biology, Nonlinear Dynamicsl Systems, and in 2009-2012 Theoretical Physics II (Quantum Mechanics).

At Aston University, I have been teaching Probability Distributions, Game Theory, and Research projects (MSc/BSc), as well as an Interdisciplinary Research Skills module for MSc Data Science, and occasionally teaching Meachine Learning (MSc), Numerical algorithms (Y1, in Matlab), and Fourier, Laplace and Z-transform methods for Biomedical Engineering (MSc/BSc)

At Jacobs University Bremen, during 2013-2018 I have been teaching Theoretical Biology, Introduction to Computational Life Science I, Statistical Physics of Complex Networks, Dynamics of Complex Networks, Projects, as well as coordinated the study programme Computational Life Science.

At Christian-Albrechts University Kiel, during 1999-2009 I have been teaching Theoretical Mechanics, significant parts of Statistical Physics, Quantum Mechanics, and Electrodynamics, as well as lectures on Nonlinear Dynamics,
