My research interests cover all aspects of complex systems, from models of evolution of life, cellular automata, delay systems and control, brain complexity, neural dynamics, consciousness, chimera and sleep, to mathematical methods of data science and machine leaning, especially related to fields mentioned above.

Music (and Complexity): I am also interested in the complexity of musical patterns, both theoretically, and exploring practically with curtal/recorders/shawm at Early Music Fora, at H.I.S.S., at H.E.R.O and SRP branches SStaffs and Birmingham, WindBand (BassCl/SSax) and ClarinetChoir@UOB, University Camerata @UoB, Birmingham Bach Choir, City of Birmingham Choir, occasionally UoB University Singers, occasionally UoB Liturgical Choir, and Chor at Dankeskirche Holtenau. I have also been participating (among many other occasions) in Woodhouse Recorder Workshop 2022, Norddeutsche Klarinettentage Bremen, Judenburg Festival, Flensburger Bach Chor St Marien, Jugendkammerchor Kiel-Flensburg, Palestrina-Ensemble Kiel, Heinrich-Schütz-Kantorei Kiel, Akademischer Chor der CAU, German-Scandinavian Music Week at Scheersberg, and Ransäter Musikveckan.
