Jenny August

I am the Maths Adviser working within the Student Learning and Development department at the University of Glasgow. 

Prior to this, I was a postdoc in the Aarhus Homological Algebra Group at Aarhus University in Denmark,  and previously at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, Germany.  I completed my PhD at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland under the supervision of Michael Wemyss.  

My research lay in representation theory and was inspired by the interplay between noncommutative algebra and birational geometry. My areas of interest include homological algebra, cluster-tilting theory, Bridgeland stability, Grassmannians, hyperplane arrangements and algebras arising in the Homological Minimal Model Programme.
