14 week semester begins September 12th
Grades K-6: (depending upon session- see schedule below)
This is a semester-long course
The purpose of Manners in Motion is to equip students with the confidence, kindness, and grace they need to navigate social situations with ease. Through interactive activities, hands-on practice, and real-world etiquette skills, students will learn not only how to feel comfortable and capable when engaging with others, but also how to positively impact the people and environments around them. Our ultimate goal is for each student to leave the course ready to share kindness, show respect, and carry themselves with poise in any setting. (Also to have FUN!) We offer a K - 6th session for families who would like siblings to learn together and also an upper elementary option. Classes will range from 8 to 12 students max. Some skills and topics covered:
First impressions, kindness, and confidence
Active Listening, conversation, and respectful disagreement
Introductions, hosting, and public manners
Thank-you notes and expressing gratitude
Table setting and dining etiquette
Empathy and respect for differences
Giving and receiving compliments
Formal dancing
Final Gala to demonstrate their skills in a real-world setting
The session concludes with a special Etiquette Gala where students dress up and put their skills into practice, making introductions, engaging in conversation, demonstrating table manners, and even learning a bit of formal dancing! This final event celebrates their growth and leaves them with skills they’ll use for a lifetime.

Semester Course or Month-by-Month Option: (details below)
Character Club is a joyful, one-hour weekly class designed to support social-emotional growth through storytelling, art, discussion, and meaningful hands-on activities. Each month centers around a specific character trait such as kindness, respect, gratitude, or confidence. We'll explore through books, journaling, and collaborative projects. It has a relaxed, summer-camp feel.
This fall, we’ll focus on helping children connect with others, express themselves, and develop a deeper sense of emotional awareness in a nurturing group setting. We'll be having a blast, making a mess, and even be contributing to the community with a service project!
Character Club pairs beautifully with Manners in Motion as a second-hour option, but it also stands on its own as a valuable enrichment experience for families seeking meaningful connection and personal growth for their child in a small group setting.
September: Kindness
October: Respect
November: Gratitude
December: Confidence
Didn't get a chance to sign up at the beginning of the semester? Have friends who want to join? You can still register with the month-to-month option for this class.
Fantastic choice if you'd like a two hour option and a secured spot for the semester. Character Club is a natural complement to Manners in Motion and gives the students an opportunity to continue building character and connections in a slightly less structured, summer camp-style atmosphere.
Solid option if you aren't able to commit to a two hour block but you'd like a secured spot for the semester. You decide which class would be a better fit for your child. Both are hands-on, fun, and build character!

Location
Conveniently located in the heart of Roseville at The Learning Grove near Royer Park and Shady Coffee & Tea. It is a spacious classroom with an outdoor play structure, lots of space to move, and even some fluffy class pets!
At The Learning Grove, our classes are intentionally designed for mixed-age groups, typically Kindergarten through 6th Grade.
This model encourages leadership, collaboration, and community. Older students mentor and model, while younger students learn by example, building empathy, confidence, and teamwork.
To support every child’s growth, our day includes age-based breakout sessions for developmentally appropriate instruction. This thoughtful structure ensures that all students are engaged, challenged, and inspired.
