Semi-arid regions consider conservation agriculture and management strategies like no-till and using cover crops to maintain soil erosion, water conservation, and thereby promoting soil health by enhancing soil microbial diversity. 

Looking at natural plant associations with microbes like Mycorrhizae and Rhizobia we can assess the impacts of soil management practices.
