Jenna Spink is a 20 year old student, and a recent graduate from the Indigenous Digital Filmmaking program at Capilano University. She entered this program right after graduating high school in 2021. She is continuing her studies in the Motion Picture Arts Bachelor's degree prgoram this coming fall. Jenna Spink comes from a Métis, Russian-Tatar family.
Jenna Spink was born in North Vancouver on February 18, 2003, and since 2011, she resides between both, North Vancouver and Mission, BC. She has two older brothers, three younger brothers and one younger sister.
Her love for filmmaking started at a very young age. Moving quite a lot during her childhood, Jenna Spink always found great joy in immersing herself in watching countless films, being it on big or small screens. Years of watching films and reading numerous books on filmmaking made her choice of becoming a filmmaker very easy.
Since attending her second year of the Indigenous Digital Filmmaking program, Jenna Spink is still continuing learning different aspects of filmmaking, including screenwriting, directing, cinematography, lighting, sound recording, editing, and more.
During her first year, Jenna Spink was an intern/ Program Assistant with Women in Film & TV (WIFTV) for the Tricksters and Writers feature film screenwriting program for Indigenous women.
Jenna Spink looks forward to a long and very successful career in film.
