I visited WildDroneEU-affiliated research laboratories at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and the University of Bristol in August and September 2024. I participated in the Drone Summer School at SDU, building, programming, and testing an autonomous drone with a team of WildDrone PhD students. I also contributed to "Drone Swarms for Animal Monitoring: A Method for Collecting High-Quality Multi-Perspective Data” with WildDrone students while working at SDU, which was published at the 15th annual International Micro Air Vehicle (IMAV) Conference.
I presented at the WildDrone Consortium Meeting in Bristol and attended training sessions on computer vision and remote sensing for animal ecology drone studies. We also planned for our upcoming fieldwork trip at the Ol Pejeta iConservancy in Kenya.
The Imageomics Institute, NSF Award No. 2118240, supported my travel.
