Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) is the largest federally funded education program that provides financial assistance to local school systems and schools to ensure that disadvantaged students have the opportunity to receive a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging state academic standards and assessments by providing additional academic support and learning opportunities. School systems must apply for the Title I, Part A grant every year and eligibility is based on a school’s Free and Reduced Meals (FARMs) rate.
