I found this program to be very interesting to work on the past few days. I really liked learning all about the specifics in how to be the best and ethically in conduct teacher I can be.
1) I learned about gifts, and how us teachers aren't supposed to accept gifts over $25, and how in other jobs you can't accept them at all because it could be considered bias.
2) I learned about what information can be shared about a student with people outside of the school, which is none.
3) I learned about what kind of people the code of ethics fall under, which would be public servants and board members.
I plan on using this in my classroom to provide the best ad valued education experience for my students. I want to make sure thye feel important and safe, not taken advantage of or unimportant because of their age.
Digital citizenship was really interesting to do in order to learn how to keep my future students safe as well as myself.
1) I learned all about how to use certain resources correctly to keep students safe
2) I learned about how to warn students against chatting online with strangers, and using unsafe websites. I also learned about digital footprints, and that everything that is on the internet will always be on the internet.
3) I learned about a good technology balanced life. We need to prioritize media- balance and well- being.
My students safety needs to be my first priority in the school, and I can't keep them safe if I don't know what they are doing, and what kind of digital footprint they are leaving behind. This program taught me how to keep my student's lives protected and private. So along with teaching them math, it's also my responsibility to teach them cyber security and warn them on the dangers of the web.
I really enjoyed creating this lesson plan! I thought it was interesting as well as challenging to incorporate all of the technology in engaging ways for the students.
1) I learned that to create a lesson plan for kids, you have to realize where kids are at socially and mentally how they learn.
2) I learned more about the app called Flip Grid, which is actually a very interesting app to use in the classroom. It can also be really helpful for group work
3) I also learned a lot more about Canva, which is the app I used to create my presentation on my lesson plan with technology integration. It is a great app for more engaging slideshows that kids will have more interest in.
It is always gonna be difficult to keep children's attention in Elementary Education, but in my classroom I plan on using lots of games and technology to engage my students. The more the kids feel like you care about how they learn, the more comfortable they will be in your classroom.
For this assignment I did the following tech tools:
I thought these tools were really interesting to learn about. I really like how they make learning do engaging for students. These apps also make it so easy for communication across the internet.
1) I learned that adding games to your lesson can drastically improve students grades. They are learning while also having fun.
2) I learned that games can also be used to communicate with others. I, as a teacher, can use other teachers' games that were created by them in my classroom.
3) Another thing I learned is that certain games and tech tools can be used as study materials, communication for group work, and so many other ways than their original use.
In my classroom, I plan on using lots of these tech tools and games to help my students actually enjoy the classroom. These types of games and competition show the students that they can actually be good at school when they study.
I really enjoyed learning all about the different tools we can use as educators! I also really enjoyed just messing around with it all, and getting a feel for everything. It made me really excited for what new things Google will come out with in the next few years.
1) I learned that on Google Calendar I can subscribe to different calendars, so everything in my personal life is separate from school/work life.
2) I also learned that I can color code my files in google drive, and organize them all to where files are easier to find.
3) Another thing I learned is that in bookmarks, I can organize them when I get too much of them. I can also search for them, so I can find them a lot faster.
In my future classroom, it is gonna be a lot easier if I keep most things online, if not all. So, knowing all of these things to make the process so much easier id great. I plan on using all of these things, in many different ways for my future classroom so I can be the best teacher I can be for my students.
I really enjoyed doing this assignment, and I really liked learning all about how google classroom works. It is really useful for education, and very useful for keeping track of your grades as a teacher and a student.
1) I learned all about assignments, and how I can make them. As well as creating grades, returning grades to students, and putting them in Google sheets
2) I also learned that in google classroom, you have lots of different options to post and communicate with your students. You can post to the stream, post an assignment, material, question, and quiz.
3) Another thing I learned is that google classroom is customizable, and you can make it as customized as you want.
I think this is gonna be really useful in my future classroom, and I can use it so many different ways. I can communicate with my students, and make sure they know what is going on, and I can even use it to communicate with the parents of the classroom. Which is always great to have less misunderstandings between student and teacher, as well as parents and teachers.
I really enjoyed making this video, along with learning how to edit videos together!! I definitely plan on using this in my future classroom to further my students education.
1) I learned how to edit multiple videos together, and I now know that they can have transitions.
2) I also learned that you can do slides and introductions in your movie, and type on it, along with adding things to personalize your videos.
3) Another thing I learned is that you can have voiceovers as well to enhance the learning involved in your videos.
I plan on making videos like this in my future classroom for when I have to be out, or when one of my students has to be out. That way students don't feel so overwhelmed when they have to miss a day. Also, if a student had a hard time understanding something, then they can go back to the video, and see if they can understand it better.
