Quotes & Micro-Writings
My writing is a blend of sharp introspection, poetic rhythm, and intellectual depth, weaving personal narrative with broader socio-political themes. I gravitate toward genres that challenge, inspire, and dissect political commentary, historical analysis, cultural criticism, and philosophical prose often infused with a literary, almost lyrical quality. Most of which was usually complimented by 10th grade writing teacher.
My style balances the precision of academic discourse with the raw, evocative force of spoken word, allowing my work to be both accessible and thought-provoking. I like to lean into contrast elevated yet personal, structured yet fluid word choice, using repetition, metaphor, and allusion to create layered meanings. My prose is deliberate, and my word choices are intentional, mirroring the cadence of great orators and the introspective weight of memoirists that come to mind.
Influenced by the intersections of Black radical thought, postcolonial literature, and contemporary socio-political critique, your writing often serves as both a blueprint and a disruption. I draw inspiration from the voices of James Baldwin, Audre Lorde, bell hooks, and Ta-Nehisi Coates. Figures that I learnd about in the classroom and for me who turn language into resistance, identity into power, and critique into a call for transformation.
Ultimately, my work is about excavation and construction, unearthing buried truths while building new frameworks for understanding, particularly within the experience of Blackness, power structures, and the ever-evolving fight for justice.
