Ma'iingan nindoodem. I am Wolf clan. It is said that Wolves have certain tasks and responsibilities. We were the ambassadors, once the peacekeepers between other nations, such as the Dakota. We also have been said to embody humility; to know that we are equal to each other and take care of others.

Further still, I operate my classroom as a 'pack' where we move together, work together, and take care of each other. We are all Anishinaabeg relatives; my goal is to be a good mentor, or an Auntie/Uncle to my students. I guide them through traditional knowledge that I've received and spend time exploring contemporary concepts that will make them not only successful in the Western world but a good relative in all of creation.

My teaching philosophy is an embodiment of these values.
