Pawsign Designer

A pawsign designer plays a CRUCIAL role in bringing lost dogs home! Creating and placing road signs is the most effective way to receive sightings of a lost dog. This is a more flexible position as you can make the signs whenever it is convenient for you, then when a call comes in all you have to do is add the photo of the dog! We provide all the supplies needed, you just have to donate your time!

Flyer Fetcher

A flyer fetcher helps create custom flyers or helps distribute flyers. Creating the flyers requires a computer, we can teach you the rest! Distributing flyers requires you to be in an area we serve. The mapper will update the lost dog's map which will show areas that need flyers distributed to, once you have an area covered you will need to update the mapper so the map can be updated. This is just another way we spread the word!

Woof Wrangler

A woof wrangler is a very interactive role, this consists of setting humane traps, bait stations, and monitoring live cameras 24/7. Some dogs are very skittish and are difficult to lure so we step in with humane traps. You will need to be in an area we serve as this is a "paws on the ground" position. You will need a vehicle large enough to transport equipment to the location to set up, a small SUV or larger works! We will provide the traps, cameras, bait, and any other supplies. You will need to be comfortable around nervous dogs, as sometimes our volunteers are closer than the owners so you may arrive first.

Canine Cupid

Canine cupid is a tech only position so you can be located anywhere to help with this! We will provide you with a list of our open cases, this contains each dogs' indentifying information. We encourage you to search everywhere for these dogs including shelter listings, found posts, Facebook posts, marketplace, and any other social media platform. This is also a flexible position, meaning you can contribute any amount of time you have to give!

Bark Networker

A bark networker alerts local businesses that a dog is lost in the area. If you are local, this could mean delivering business flyers to local businesses. Some businesses are easier to contact via phone or by sending a flyer via email, this is also another way to volunteer if you aren't located in an area we serve. This is a flexible position so there is no set amount of time needed in order to fill this position.

Ruff Route Runner

A ruff route runner plays an important part in making sure that everyone has the necessary equipment to safely bring their lost dog back home. A ruff route runner meets other team members (from other areas) or owners (from areas we do not serve) with equipment when it's necessary. Some areas throughout the state aren't covered by SARs so we try to help fill the gap by lending traps when we can. You aren't expected to drive directly to an owner or other team member, we generally meet halfway which is often within the area we serve. You can schedule the meet times with the individuals. A small SUV or larger is generally best as sometimes the equipment being transported is a trap.

Pawsitive Helper

A pawsitive helper helps with events and fundraisers! We need help setting up and working our events. We can coordinate with you to plan the events so it would work with your schedule. This would be 1-3 events per year, we would only expect you to assist in the county you reside in- we do not expect you to travel to help with events.
