Ever since the sophomore year of high school, I started doing weightlifting to improve my health and mental health. I have consistently gone to the gym for the past few years, and I have learned more than just weightlifting. I also learned about the importance of having a nutritious diet and the use of beneficial supplements like creatine.

I have been shadowing at Stony Brook University's Level 1 Trauma Center. Where I am exposed to the workflow of the many Units in the emergency department, from the Green unit to the Critical care unit, where I was exposed to seeing many surgical procedures on many patients that were wheeled in from the ambulance.

In Chinese culture, mental health isn't really considered real health. Moreover, in many other cultures, weak mental health is considered a weakness and is laughed at. I believe that mental health is something that should be taken seriously, and I hope to help people who are in crisis by just being there to talk to them in a non-judgmental way.
Hospital Volunteering

I volunteered at the Richmond University Medical Center throughout my senior year of high school. I was exposed to many units inside the hospital, from the NICU, PACU, to the Pre-op and Post Op. I assisted the Nurses and nurse assistants in any way to make patient care easier for them.

I have always been an advocate for tobacco control. As the president of Reality Check in my high school. I hosted school-wide events to educate students on tobacco and nicotine use. Furthermore, I also went to Albany to educate my district's legislators on the number of tobacco stores near school zones and their effect on students.
Handshake AI
I am grateful to be accepted as a generalist at Handshake AI, where I test and correct the output of generative AI. It is fun being able to contribute to the development of Artificial Intelligence. I remember that at the start of the project, the AI would generate a lot of errors, but now it can generate images just as good as other Large Language models like ChatGPT or Gemini.
