In the sophomore year of high school, I got into my school’s chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) through my high academic capabilities and leadership traits. As a member of NHS I help contribute to school wide events and also tutored my peers weekly in subjects that range in many subjects.
Deans List
In my first semester of college at Stony Brook, I made the dean's list through strong academic performance in rigorous STEM classes while also balancing many of my extracurricular activities at the time. I am grateful to be put on the list, and I will try to continue to perform at the same level with grit.

During my rising sophomore year of high school, I was accepted to the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), where we did project-based learning and got a Stipend. My project was about researching the many harmful impacts of global warming on our society. Luckily, we were chosen to present this presentation at the Hilton Garden Inn on Staten Island, where it is my first time speaking before a crowd.

As the president of Reality Check, we helped educate legislators and students on tobacco use in my community. After meeting with our local legislators up at the capital of New York, we gained some recognition from our local newspaper for trying to make an effort to make changes in our community.
