Starting when I was little, I dreamed of crafting systems, synergies and styles of video games that people have never even heard of, from a raggedy medieval game that steams from "Borderlands" called "Living weapon" that I had old pages of a note book full, to doodles and stories I crafted up that depicted two rivalry Kings with twin swords destined to fight against one another from middle school. I always had a dream and passion for interactive environments that put spells on people playing through them. What I share here is a slice of what I could gather together to showcase here that isn't in a dusty notebook somewhere.Â
A whole Language made up of...Cubes?
You heard me, this was a college art assignment blown out of proportion, putting about 110% of me into this creation. I created and 3D printed a language cube simply called "The Lexicon" that holds unique characters that are used within a 2x2 square to create words and phrases. Each side has 4 rotations that give even more possible combinations of characters to combine to speak. Even the cube itself has rules to it, and how to use it to communicate to another cube user. I would love to revisit this and pull a Tolkin and create a complete language...
Personally, I craft and concept traditionally through pencil and pen when I'm wanting to get some things down, the examples here are for a personal project of mine that I am very proud of for conceptualizing and crafting. Using JRPG, Auto battler and other motifs (Two that really inspired me to create this concept is combining "Pokemon", "Balatro" and "The Bazaar" into a RPG game of synergy and luck...)
