I’m excited to announce the successful completion of my two-year research project, “Does Community Well-Being Matter in Landscape Management of U.S. Farming Systems?” Funded by SARE, this project explored the inclusion of community considerations in agricultural decision-making. Through in-depth interviews and surveys, we gained valuable insights into how farmers incorporate community considerations into their management practices and the broader implications for sustainable agriculture.
This research highlights the importance of supporting farmers as both producers and stewards of their communities, providing recommendations for policies and programs that encourage sustainable farming practices. Thank you to all participants and partners who contributed to this project!
