I completed my undergraduate studies at Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, where I pursued a major in Trade Economics and a double major in Accounting. These programs significantly shaped my understanding of economics and finance, providing a robust foundation in both fields. During my studies, I deepened my analytical skills through key statistical courses, including Time Series Analysis and Multivariate Statistical Analysis. My commitment to academic excellence was recognized with awards for outstanding graduation theses in both of my majors, underscoring my ability to apply complex theories to real-world economic and financial issues.
During my master's studies in Economics at University of Kansas, I also pursued a rigorous selection of core mathematics courses to strengthen my quantitative foundation, ultimately earning an applied mathematics certificate. This comprehensive mathematical training was instrumental in solidifying my decision to further pursue Economics, particularly econometrics, at the PhD level. My commitment to this path was driven by the compelling ways in which econometric models can elucidate complex economic phenomena and contribute to effective policy-making.
I have continued to pursue my PhD in Economics at KU, fortunate to have had an excellent advisor from the start of my studies. This guidance has steered me toward specializing in Econometrics within my research area, and has helped me discover a genuine interest in applying economic tools to real-world applications. Currently, as a PhD candidate, I am actively seeking a position that offers the opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills in a practical setting, where I can contribute meaningfully to the field.
