These courses were held in the framework of the European Instrument for International Nuclear Safety Cooperation (INSC) Training and Tutoring (T&T) Project MC3.01/20, which is a European Union (EU)-funded project that aims at assisting the National Nuclear Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) and Technical Support Organisations (TSOs) of non-EU countries in strengthening their capabilities in relation to their regulatory responsibilities and tasks.
The course consisted of 4 days of classroom lectures and two half-day technical visits supervised and accompanied by international and local experts.
These workshops welcome more than 50 international participants to the country, providing training for experts and professionals in Nuclear Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) and Technical Support Organizations (TSOs) on the regulation of radiation protection in medical applications and emergency preparedness and response. This collaboration with EC-INTPA will enhance the technical competency of participants locally and internationally while promoting economic growth and tourism in Malaysia.
