Evaluation of Biofeedback on Above-Knee Amputees
(In Progress)
(In Progress)
In collaboration with University of California, San Francisco and Veterans Affairs Palo Alto (VAPAHCS) we will be conducting a clinical trial with a target enrollment of 35 participants.
Assess the short-term retention of Biofeedback Training on Mobility and Gait Efficiency.
Assess how a single session of Biofeedback will affect gait symmetry.
Development of Validation Protocol of Motion Capture Data Against xSens IMU Data.
Clinical trial images obtained by UCSF 10/25/24. Participant has been blurred to provide anonymity.
Extract motion capture joint angle data from Qualisys/ Vicon.
Comparison via Statistical Methods
Possible: Using ML model.
We will be working with the Kinesiology lab at San Jose State University to process UCSF Vicon motion capture data using Vicon Nexus.
Data will be processed to produce comparable data to IMU motion data.
5 gait cycles will be extracted from each phase file due to the nature of how to data was captured. After the files are processed with markers and gait event labeled, hip extension and hip symmetry will be evaluated.
UCSF moved to Qualisys motion capture system due to it being markerless. Qualisys QTM Tracker license was obtained from UCSF to process the motion capture data that was using Qualisys system.
